Record Book Buck Antelope shot while hunting with SnS outfitters located just outside Casper WY, September 2011

Also on the September 2011 hunt, John bagged two Antelope does.  This is number one.
This is number two.

This is a nice eating piggie John shot on his recent hog hunt in Gonzales, Texas.  The 165-pound sow was "bang-flopped" with one clean shot behind the ear.

The 2011 RedHunterLLC 2nd Annual Colorado Prairie Dog Shoot

The 2011 shoot took place in a small town in Eastern Colorado.  Four of us shot for 4-days and expended something like 6,000 rounds between us (Stan Kullman, Brian Kullman, Joe Knight and John Hunter).  Each shooter brought at least 6 rifles and rotated them to allow the barrels to properly cool.  Calibers used were 17 Fireball, 204 Ruger, 221 Fireball, 222 Rem Mag, 223 Win, and the venerable 22-250, for those very long shots at 700 yards and over.

We stayed in a great little Bed and Breakfast.  The B & B owner included both breakfast and lunch each day and we ate dinner in a small restaurant in town.  The weather was very hot and dry; most days in the mid to upper 90’s.  They had not had rain in the last six months which made the P-Dog shooting a bit slower this year than it should have been.

The four of us drove out there in my pickup truck pulling an enclosed trailer to haul all our guns, shooting tables, ammo, cleaning gear, and shooting accessories like sand bags, rifle rests, tools, etc.  In addition, we each took a suitcase with our clothing and personal items.

While we were there we also did some testing of other products like scopes, binoculars, tables, and some accessories.  In most cases Hawk did very well in the scope and binocular departments.  What everyone wanted were rangefinder binoculars.  They really save you time and the hassle of switching from you binoculars to your rangefinder then to your rifle and scope.  The two rangefinder binoculars that work the best were the Zeiss and Leica brand but man the price starts at $2000.00 and goes to $3500.00.  It’s hard to own too many of those babies.  I am happy to say that one of the guys who was with us is a big Swarovski fan but now he is a Hawke fan as well.  He said he will not sell off his Swarovski Rifles Scopes but does like and will keep using the Hawke scopes he purchased from RedHunterLLC.
