I decided to try one of the RedHunter medium range cottontail mouth calls. I bought the Mini Blaster III. I am jazzed because no longer than 15-seconds into the stand, I called in and shot a nice gray fox. On my next stand, I called in a nice bobcat and nailed him too. I like this call because it’s small, easy to carry, durable and projects a nice sound. The reed does not stick either. Brock

"I recently purchased a RedHunter
Howler and a couple of your mouth calls. I am happy to say
that it was money well spent. The calls bring in the animals
and the howler's sounds are easy to master."
Ken Norman NOTE: In April 09, Ken shot his 6.5 Grendel with a 16" barrel in a match topped with a HAWKE Sidewinder 30 scope. He shot a 3" group at 420-yards using the SR6 reticle. |

Jeff Young of Houghton, New York, nailed this mega-coyote weighing in at almost 65-pounds. Check out the width of the FoxPro caller for a little perspective on the girth of the animal. This is a biggie, although you can't really appreciate the mass of the animal in the photo. Nice job Jeff and we wish you the best of luck in the future. |

Jeff Young of Houghton, New York
scores another mega-Coyote. This sucker is so big I had to post it
too.
Jeff says, ""Hey Red...thanks for the new Hawke Sidewnder 30, 4x16x50 scope. I mounted it on a Remington AR15 VTR SS varmint. I took my first shot at this dog and sent it down his kisser/see his broken lower jaw."- Jeff Young |

I recently
purchased both a Leupold and a Hawk scope for my hunting rifles. I
placed the Leupold on my 30-06 and the Hawk on my 22-250, and then
headed to the range. Both where zeroed at 100 yards with good
results. One of the things I wanted to do was test my 100 yard zero, at
a 200 yard range. One big advantage I saw with the Hawk scope was it comes with a ballistics program that allowed me to calculate my rifle trajectory, and printed out a trajectory graph that I was able to place on the scopes flip up protective cover. This was a big plus for me since it took out all the guess work once I was on the 200 yard range. With the program I knew just where my aiming point should be to hit the 200 yard target. The difference between the hawk and Leupold was the Hawk SR-12 reticles. I found the reticles extremely helpful once on the range. I’m not trying to say that the Leupold is not a top of the line scope but the Hawk had several features that made my old eyes work like they did 25 years ago. Also the day I went to the range there was a cross-wind of about 7 miles an hour blowing the SR-12 reticles also comes with Wind bars that proved helpful. Again the Leupold is a top of the line scope but I had to use Kentucky windage to walk my 30-06 into the target. Since I had a good zero at 100 yards this wasn’t a hard task but it took three shoots to hit the center mass on the target as compared to the Hawk with the 22-250 first round was dead on but right, once I adjust for windage the second round was on target. Well a couple of
weeks ago I had finally saved up enough box tops for my new Hawke HD IR
scope and it finally arrived last week. With new "high-boy" rings I
mounted it this weekend and am heading to Lincoln tomorrow to dial her
in. If anybody is in the neighborhood, look me up. T.B
I just purchased the Hawke Sidewinder Tactical 30. The 4.5-14X42 Mil Dot. Man right out of the box this scope looked great. I mounted it onto my Howa 1500 .308 and it took me about five minutes to get sighted in at 200 yards. I just took it to the range today. I am so pleased with the Hawke and the quality. Red helped out a lot the scope was on back order when I ordered it. I no dumb me hahaha but Red was there and he gave me up to date news on the scopes and when they should be in. And he backs up the product 100%. I really like Hawke and so did a lot of people at the range today when they were asking me what kinda scope it was. The range master really liked it and enjoyed shooting it. So out of my essay I can say I really support Hawke and I will be getting more scopes when I need them from Hawke. Thanks Red. T.K
I just bought my
second Hawke scope on line from Red Hunter! I love it! I have two that
are the same both are 4x16 by 50 Sidewinders. I have one on my 6.5
Grendel and the other is on my Rem 700 22-250. Ken N.
I ordered a 4-16x44mm Varmint II from RedHunterLLC. Mounted it on my Savage M40 22 Hornet. Good scope and very clear. Holding zero just fine. I haven't used it enough to tell you how durable the scope is, but so far I really like it. M.F
I had heard many good things about the Hawke scope that Red raves about and I had read six or more reviews that also spoke highly of the Hawke scopes so I picked one up recently and have to agree with everything I've heard. Great scope for the money. If I had to find something neutral to say about it it would be it does seem to be on the heavy side but other than that it's a great scope. Jim T
