We are proud to announce that RedHunter LLC is a Disabled Veteran owned company. John Hunter is a retired veteran after 23 years of service in both the US Marine Corps and US Army. Co-Owner Red Barbarossa also served in the US Army for six years. Subsequent to their military service, both John and Red worked for a government aerospace contractor on cutting-edge, advanced technology projects that supported all branches of the United States Military. They are proud of their country and proud to have defended her in the military.
Presently, John lives in Athens, Alabama and Red resides in Huntington Beach, California, which helps them service their customer base from coast to coast. Through the years, both of them have lived and hunted a variety of game in many areas of the country and that fact has given them a varied overall perspective regarding different hunting environments and techniques. As a result, Red and John believe that they have an extremely good feel for the needs of predator hunters, no matter where they are located in the country. The thoughtful engineering that goes into their calling tools reflects that fact. They truly understand that the “one size fits all” approach does not work when calling intelligent animals such as predators. Tools and techniques differ according to terrain and location and those facts are addressed in their geo-specific call designs.
Both RedHunter LLC owners are big game hunters, re-loaders, target shooters and devoted predator hunters. They are also multi-term past Presidents of one of the largest Predator Calling & Hunting clubs in Southern California. They have written and presented predator calling and hunting seminars and introduced the sport of predator calling and hunting to hundreds of people. The products they bring to the hunting market are the result of over 30-years of hunting experience.
Red and John started RedHunter LLC because they weren’t quite satisfied with the performance or versatility of calling products presently available to predator hunters. They decided to put their years of first-hand hunting and aerospace experience to work and design products that would meet or exceed the needs and expectations of novice as well as experienced predator hunters.In addition to improving the quality and versatility of mouth calls, they also recognized the need for job-specific predator hunting lights that are totally innovative. Their latest patent pending designed light is like no other. It offers innovative features unique to the industry such as their exclusive lateral beam light pattern, the auto-burn feature as well as several other functions that won’t be found on any other predator hunting light. Their custom made lights are presently in use on three different continents around the globe.
